Vanyarin Technologies: Power Suit

The Power Suit isn't a standard space suit, but a full-featured, high-technology armour suitable for almost all situations and environments. It's composed of two layers: the outer, hard and compact shell and the inner neural network that handles all of the suit's systems. Modular by nature, it allows for upgrades to be easily built and installed into the suit.

Weapons

An arm cannon mounted on the right arm is the main (and only) weapon. It consists of a plasma accelerator that can fire compressed pellets at a rate of six rounds per second and a speed of 300m/s, and has a charge feature which enables it to fire more powerful shots. In addition, it has a specially adapted IPT module built in. Additional weapon modules can be installed, though they are limited by the cannon's own specifications and dimensions.

The Plasma Accelerator module consists of a compressed liquid hydrogen deposit connected to an ignition chamber, and this is connected to another, bigger chamber which leads directly into the cannon, and is sealed shut by a strong magnetic field to prevent leakings. When the fire trigger is pressed, the deposit will release a small set quantity of hydrogen into the ignition chamber where it will expand and become gaseous. Immediately afterwards, a magnetic field heats this gas by several million degrees as it launches it forward at full speed and releases the magnetic seal on the cannon at the same time. All this process takes just 8ms to complete, and if the trigger is held down, the process will be repeated as soon as the ignition chamber cools down again, which happens in roughly 1/6th of a second.

When the Charge mode is set, the operation is slightly different. Pressing the trigger will begin to hold a charge, and letting go will release the charge as described above. As long as the trigger is held down, the deposit will continually feed liquid hydrogen to the ignition chamber, which will in turn heat it. But instead of accelerating it then, it moves the heated plasma into the bigger chamber, where it is stored, and this process will be repeated again until the chamber is full, which happens after 2 seconds, or after twelve charges have been delivered successfully. Finally, when the trigger is released, the lock will be deactivated and the plasma will be launched out of the cannon.

The second module installed is a specifically designed IPT module. Ammo is limited to 250 rounds, and the module's power is less than the one installed on Sindecco. The firing rate is one per second.

Other Systems

Armour
The armour layer is made of a light stainless galvorn alloy, and it holds the entire life-support system inside of it. In addition to this armour, the suit has a basic shielding system that absorbs most of the damage but depends on the energy system to operate correctly. Physical and energy-based attacks will be absorbed by it, but the shield can also protect against extreme environmental conditions such as radiation, heat or harmful fluids. Further upgrades of the armour system can nullify these threats though.
Also, the suit has a pair of thrusters on the back and on the bottom of the boots which increase agility, and a mean of propulsion in zero-gravity environments, though they can be modified to allow for flight.
Life Support
Life support provided by the Power Suit includes an oxygen supply, air pressure, harmful radiation shielding, waste disposal and limited feeding capabilities. Currently it has a limited GMS module installed to protect the wielder against falls from great heights, but it can be improved, for instance, to allow for unhindered movement in liquid environments.
HUD
The HUD is comprised of a monitoring system for all the different aspects of the suit, as well as the vital functions of the user as well; a motion sensor which displays detected objects in a small radar-like area and provides a limited auto-targetting function; and a threat assessment system that analyses the field for known dangers and alerts the user of it. The visor module is linked directly to the HUD and by default can display the surroundings in three modes: Visible spectrum, X-Ray scoping and Infrared imaging.

All in all, the whole suit's mass is 20kg. Further upgrades to the GMS could lessen the effects of gravitational attraction without affecting the suit's mass.
